Like their neighbors in Indonesia, people living in Papua New Guinea are culturally diverse and speak a number of languages. This diversity is exciting, but also creates a unique set of challenges for sharing the Gospel. Right now, many of the people in Papaua New Guinea live in remote regions and practice ancestral religions. Many have never heard the Good News, especially in their native tongue.
CRWM is working in Papua New Guinea to share the Good News with people in their native language. CRWM missionaries are working with local people, showing them what the written Word looks like in their local language through translation projects, and also showing how that Word plays itself out in everyday life through relationship building.
