While under communism, people in Romania saw the community of the church broken down by distrust, limited meeting time, and highlighted denominational differences. Although 25 years have passed since communism fell, many ministry leaders still see these effects today. Many of these leaders see hope in young Romanians and are investing their efforts in them.

Within this context of mistrust, CRWM missionaries come alongside local leaders to create an environment of trust where people can come together and share ministry ideas. CRWM missionaries work with a number of youth organizations and break denominational barriers by facilitating discussions among them. With this collaborative spirit, the Gospel is coming to life in new ways and young people are overcoming the long-term effects of communism.
