Culture in Thailand is marked both by longstanding Buddhist tradition and influences from its neighboring countries of  Cambodia and China. Like in many nations, many Thai people are moving to large cities, especially young people. Although many of these people are moving to the densely-populated areas by their own choice, others are forced to do so because of the lack of education and economic stability in the rural parts of the country.

CRWM missionaries are working in the rural north of Thailand, striving to offer young people the choice to stay within their own communities. Missionaries are training young leaders in schools, working alongside local ministries to develop new skills that contribute to the positive transformation of communities in Thailand. Through this work, missionaries are sharing the Christian faith with the people they work alongside, many of whom have never heard the Good News.
