On one hand, Eastern Europeans have a great history of Christian worship that extends back over a thousand years. On the other hand, compromise and corruption during the time of the Tsars and under communism have led Protestants to largely ignore fundamental aspects of the Christian faith. In 2015, laws concerning private education changed, opening the doors for Christian education. Now both these churches and schools are in need of biblically-sound local leaders. At the same time, the country suffers from political unrest in an ongoing conflict with Russia.

CRWM uses Educational Care and Timothy Leadership training to address these needs in practical ways. Through CRWM missionaries, church and ministry leaders are learning how to apply the Good News to a country that has experienced little peace in its recent history.
