Jesus understood the importance of solitude and making space for periods of rest and renewal. He knew how important it was to have a steady prayer life and to take time away from ministry for soul care. Yet, this is not an easy thing to do -- especially for missionaries who feel the angst between serving and taking space to rest and reflect.
Lovingly we ask: How is your prayer life? How have you been carving out time away from "doing" to spend in solitude before the Lord?
It is essential to take care of yourself so that you can take care of those around you...loving and serving well.
Below are some resources and opportunities to take time to pour back into yourself so you can experience rest and renewal, refreshment for the next season of ministry. Some of these links provide resources on missionary health and self-care, others are places for retreat. If you find others and would like to share them with us, please email them to: email@example.com.
If you are interested in exploring a retreat option listed above, please let us know and we will work to coordinate the details.
